In consideration of the services provided by Combat Academy Ipswich (hereby known as CAI), the instructors, owners, volunteers, members, participants, employees and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on the behalf of CAI, I agree to the following privacy considerations as stated below.
During your membership we will have access to personal information about you, including but not limited to your contact details, health details, and financial information. We will only use, disclose, or deal with your information in line with our privacy policy.
CAI is committed to protecting your privacy and any personal information that we may collect. CAI recognizes that individuals have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
CAI will not collect or monitor any information about an individual without their consent. The only information collected is that which is voluntarily supplied by the member or prospective member (or guardian of junior members). We collect personal information primarily to enable us to provide members with our services or functions. Personal information is collected directly from members, or potential members (or guardians) when they personally complete and submit a form to become a member.
CAI may use the information for marketing to you or for any other purpose permitted under the Privacy Act.
CAI will request personal information when a membership or product is purchased; this is collected in order to provide the requested service or product as well as giving CAI the ability to provide you with updated information on services and products that we provide. You are not obligated to provide your details however failure to do so may result in CAI being unable to provide you with the service or product requested.
Sensitive information; for the purpose of this policy sensitive information is information that a member has disclosed to us about their physical or mental health well-being. Sensitive information will only ever be used for providing services to members. Such information will not be disclosed for any other purposes, without consent, except under exceptional circumstance when disclosure may be required by law or it is necessary to protect the rights or property of CAI, members of the public, or to lessen a serious threat to a person’s health and safety.
CAI uses tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons to make the use of social media as convenient as possible. Most web browsers are set to accept tracking technologies, these technologies do not themselves personally identify users although they do identify a user’s browser. These technologies allow CAI to monitor the websites and social media sites.
CAI may employ other companies or service providers to assist us in providing our services or any functions related to our services, including but not limited to marketing, market research, mail-house services, debt recovery functions, hosting and product development services, analysis of member lists and or consulting services. CAI may disclose your personal information to these third parties for the purpose of their primary function only. They cannot use that information for other purposes.
Administration, owners, coaches & members are able to take photographs and film during sessions, and you are accepting full media release of these images unless explicitly expressed otherwise
CAI allows for a member or potential member to be removed from contact lists, if you would like to be removed you must do so in writing to admin@combatacademyipswich.com.au
Individuals have the right to review, amend or delete information that may be recorded on the CAI database. To do so you most complete the access request form and speak with a staff member. All reasonable steps will be made to delete personal information except in the circumstance where it be required to retain for legal purposes. Deletion of information may result in CAI being unable to provide you with any services.
CAI takes all reasonable steps to ensure your data is secure. The information is stored on secured servers in a digital format, if in a hardcopy form the data is secured in locked areas. CAI employees who have access to the information are bound to respect the confidentiality in which the data is obtained.
CAI is not responsible for the conduct of individuals or other companies who obtain the personal information of members through dishonest means.
CAI takes breaches of privacy seriously, if you need to make an enquiry or complaint email admin@combatacademyipswich.com.au. We will investigate any complaints received in writing and do our best to resolve them as soon as possible.
CAI reserves the right to update, amend or change the privacy policy to reflect current practices and obligations. Any change will take effect immediately when made.
